You saw me cry yesterday. On my Instagram story. It was weird to record myself crying, but I have a desire to be more authentic /vulnerable with you guys. It’s a process, but when I asked you, most of you said it would be helpful to show some of the low times, like tears and sorrow.

This place can definitely be a highlight reel, a place that can breed comparison and envy. Comparing someone’s edited highlights to our unedited everyday. I want to remind you that we only get a little piece of the story through social media. Only God knows all of what’s going on in a person’s heart. I find it so important then to look at others with love and show them kindness as much as possible. To let go of judgment & comparison frees me with peace.

I’ve found a lot of life lately to be seeped with duel emotions. That there can be sorrow, tears, joy and peace all at the same time. I’m always holding the joy of knowing the love that comes with having Jesus as my Savior and Father. Knowing that if it’s not good, it’s not the end of the story. Knowing that one day every tear will be wiped away. But also knowing that there is still painful things that happen on this earth, and the battle is real.

If you ever feel sad, discouraged, weary: please know you are not alone. Wish I could take your hand or give you a hug through the screen. It’s ok to cry. It’s not perfect in anyone else’s life either. I take such great delight from this verse: "‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:4-5
