There’s a verse in the Bible that I always think of on this very special day.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” -Isaiah 43
It’s so refreshing to know that even if there were wastelands in your 2017 that God can help streams to flow. Over the past several days of reflection I’ve been dwelling on the fact that God wants us to have a joy filled life. He wants us to claim the amazing, good promises for us He’s told us in the Bible. He wants us to live loved, and give that love to others.
I’m praying for you and for me that we’d have more peace this year. We’d be quick to say sorry and slow to get angry. To forgive and know we are forgiven by the one who died to save us all. None of know the great and difficult things that are ahead of us, but I know that we have a God that is with us, that will show us the way, that as we trust our hearts to Him will give us peace.
