Sometimes life can get super overwhelming for me. Like waves crashing and roaring around me. But then I reach out my hand (like Peter in Matthew 14) and Jesus calms the storms around me. When my eyes and my focus are on Him, peace fills my soul. The ocean is a reminder for me of God’s love, greatness, and faithfulness. God created heaven and earth, the oceans and all the life in it. And God has authority over the oceans. When Jesus walked on earth He calmed the wind and the waves when His friends were out in the sea. He allowed them to catch fish in a place where they previously couldn’t catch any. His love for us is deeper than the ocean, which is so hard to fathom. He remains faithful forever, His beauty and majesty is shown in the vastness and beauty. It’s not made by human hands, but He gives us life, breathe and everything else. In Isaiah 43:2-3 it says: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. “ There’s a country that says “When I'm a ship tossed around on the waves Up on a high wire that's ready to break When I've had just about all I can take” And I finish the lyrics by saying: God you save me. If your life feels like your stuck at sea with waves crashing around you and you can’t catch your breathe, I encourage you: reach out your hand to Jesus. He is so faithful and has proven throughout history, in the Bible, in my life and people I love and admire lives that He is enough to give us peace and calm even in a storm.
