NFL Power Rankings Week 8

NFL Power Rankings - Week 8

  1. New England Patriots (6-1) – The Patriots are the clear number one team after yet another solid performance against good competition. These Patriots just might take it all.

  2. Seattle Seahawks (4-1-1) – The Seahawks fought to a standstill with the Cardinals in Arizona. Both teams have Super Bowl caliber defenses, the hawks are becoming a more complete team by the week, Wilson has yet to hit full stride, but he ALWAYS shows up when it counts.

  3. Dallas Cowboys (5-1) – With a bye week in the books, the Cowboys have rested some injuries and look to face a tough test this week against the Eagles. With Bryant set to be back, and this being an important divisional game, the Cowboys have plenty to prove this week.

  4. Green Bay Packers (4-2) – The Packers dominated a weak Bears team this week in route to another win. Rodgers looked more himself in this game, but the run game is a huge issue for this team going forward.

  5. Denver Broncos (5-2) – The Broncos got a statement win on Monday Night Football against the Texans to improve to 5-2, while breaking their two game losing streak. This defense is back on track this week, completely shutting down the Texans offense.

  6. Minnesota Vikings (5-1) – The Vikings looked like an 0-5 team rather than an undefeated team on Sunday as they were dominated by the Eagles at home. These Vikings need to get Bradford and the offense going again, and hopefully they can bounce back after a poor showing.

  7. Arizona Cardinals (3-3-1) – The Cardinals tied the Seahawks this week and in doing so they solidified their spot as a top contender in the NFC. Look for this Cardinals team to push for the Division title and move into the playoffs.

  8. Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) – The Eagles earned an impressive win against the Vikings in Minnesota and by doing so they earn a place in the top ten for this week.

  9. Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) – The Chiefs got another win this week to improve to 4-2 and are pushing division leaders the Broncos. The AFC West is turning out to be one of the vest divisions in football.

  10. Atlanta Falcons (4-3) – The Falcons are showing their true colors as they dropped another game this week to the lowly but talented Chargers.

  11. Oakland Raiders (5-2) – The Raiders have looked impressive this season in route to a 5-2 record. It’s going to be hard to predict the winner of the AFC West.

  12. Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) – The Bengals got the win that they needed this week against the Browns. Hopefully this propels them forward to make a playoff push this season.

  13. Buffalo Bills (4-3) – The Bills looked bad against the emerging Dolphins this week. Many thought that the Bills could really push the Patriots in the division. But with this loss, I am beginning to question the legitimacy of this Bills team.

  14. Detroit Lions (4-3) – The Lions are now on a three game winning streak and have beat solid opponents in the process. Look out because the Vikings just showed some vulnerability.

  15. Washington Redskins (4-3) – The Redskins dropped a close game to the Lions this week. Losing Norman seemed to be the difference in this game as the Lions were able to pull out a close one.

  16. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) – The Steelers without Big Ben had literally no chance this past week against the Brady-led Patriots. Until Roethlisberger gets back, this Steelers team will be very unpredictable.

  17. New York Giants (4-3) – The Giants were able to win a close game in London against the Rams to gain a winning record once again this season. The G-men hope to close the gap with the Cowboys in the weeks to come.

  18. San Diego Chargers (3-4) – The Chargers could be just as easily 7-0, as they have been in every game they have played and virtually gave away all 4 of their losses. This team is talented and might make a late season push if they can get some consistency on both sides of the ball. Impressive win this week against Atlanta.

  19. Houston Texans (4-3) – The Texans still have yet to show that they belong with the league’s elite teams, they have been able to beat mediocre teams however and look to be an outside contender out of their weak division.

  20. Los Angeles Rams (3-4) – The Rams played horrible on offense as Case Keenum turned the ball over four times to give the game away to the Giants. The Rams need to be consistent to make the playoffs as their division is slowly slipping away from them.

  21. Baltimore Ravens (3-4) – 3-0 right? What Happened? They played some actual competition is what happened. This Ravens team is bad.

  22. Indianapolis Colts (3-4) – The Colts played well in a close game this week, closing out a win against a talented Titans team. Luck is undefeated agains the Titans all time.

  23. New Orleans Saints (2-4) – The Saints lost this week to a good Chiefs team. They were in the game for most of the contest, but due to costly mistakes, they lost out in the end. Again, consistency is the key for this team. They have the offense to compete with anyone, they just need a complete game.

  24. Tennessee Titans (3-4) – The Titans were riding a two game winning streak and looked to make it three until Andrew Luck happened. Murray is playing great football, and Mariota is starting to show why they picked him at Number 2 a year ago. This team will bounce back.

  25. Miami Dolphins (3-4) – The Dolphins have put together two solid performances behind Jay Ajayi and his two 200+ yard games back to back. This Dolphins team might just be figuring this thing out.

  26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) – The Bucs were able to prevail over a terrible Niners team in route to a win that makes their season record improve to .500. This Bucs team is talented, but injuries have hurt them all season. Hopefully they can get things together and continue the fight in the NFC South.

  27. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-4) – The Jaguars are not the team they were a year ago. The offense is not the same, and they keep getting themselves out of games too fast. Too much dependency on Bortles to pass is leading to costly turnovers and defeat. Too much talent on both sides of the ball not to win more games.

  28. Carolina Panthers (1-5) – The Panthers just look plain bad. They are feeling the post-Super Bowl blues as they continue to struggle against pretty much everyone. The Saints put the whoop on the Panthers this past week. If they want any chance at salvaging this season, something must be done NOW!

  29. New York Jets (2-5) – The Jets got a win, that doesn’t change much, Fitzpatrick needs to get out of “Butt-hurt” mode and start playing like the quarterback he was last year. Maybe even earn the contract he has always dreamed of. Poor Geno Smith, his one opportunity ends in an ACL tear.

  30. Chicago Bears (1-6) – The Bears lose Hoyer to a broken arm. The injuries continue to pile on for this team. It might just be time to tank and get a good draft pick.

  31. San Francisco 49ers (1-6) –I will stay with the same headlines for this team: CHIP KELLY NEEDS TO BE GONE. I can’t say it enough, his experiment has not worked and the NFL needs to move on. Why are we so quick to forgive Kelly and so fast to banish Tebow?

  32. Cleveland Browns (0-7) – The Browns are the best 0-7 team I have ever seen. The Browns have had a chance in each game they have played this season, and sooner or later they are going to win one. So who is the first victim?
