I hate feeling rejected. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Recently I was rejected and it didn't feel great to say the least. I woke up so sad the morning after the rejection and wanted to harden my heart. I thought of all the reasons why I should be angry and bitter. But then I felt like God said (not audibly but in my heart) "I've taken your rejection." It was so powerful and totally changed my perspective. It was no longer about the hurt I was feeling but the fact that Jesus takes my pain upon himself, and frees me to love. He loves those who have hurt me and those who I've hurt. He doesn't reject me, and that's pretty awesome. If you have hurt in your heart from rejection, God says to you too "I've taken your rejection upon me." He takes our baggage and lifts our burdens. I'm trying to walk in the freedom that comes with knowing this. How do you face rejection? Love to hear from you!
