Who else around here is an animal lover?! I was catching wild animals and little creatures bringing them home to my mom (much to her dismay) as young as I can remember. Moles, baby bunnies, cray fish, hermit crabs, butterflies, turtles etc. I would always release them back into the wild after a while, but always wanted to ‘take care of them’ for a bit and in awe of how beautiful each animals is. In second grade I lied to a boy I liked that I owned Sea World in my backyard. I told him I would swim with the dolphins and whales. The school was right next to my house so not a great lie, but in my imagination that’s what my life was like. I dreamed of riding horses everywhere I went, owning a farm, and basically being like Snow White + Cinderella + Arielle.
This was a little dream come true holding my sisters baby piglets on her farm and brushing out their beautiful horse afterwards.
