Where to stay in St. Louis, A Luxury Getaway at the Four Seasons

Where to stay in St. Louis, A Luxury Getaway at the Four Seasons

St. Louis is full of things to do, places to see, and wonders to explore. With many options to stay, there is one that stands out over the rest. The Four Seasons Hotel and Spa in St. Louis is the best choice for Luxury in the city, and conveniently located close to anything that you want to do, including stay in and enjoy all the property has to offer.

We were so happy to have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful hotel property which made our stay one of our favorite trips that we have ever been on. We can’t wait to show you just how elegant and modern the property was, and how it made for one of the most romantic weekends of our lives.

The Room

We got to stay in their Luxury Arch View Room. The room included a King-size bed, a chaise lounge chair, a desk for work, a large closet for bags, clothes, and plenty of space for anything extra that we brought. The bathroom had everything we needed including a large bath, shower, and a two sink counter really made getting ready a great experience. The mirror even had a built-in TV so that you’ll never miss out on any show or event even if you have to visit the Lady’s room! They included a bed, plus food and water dishes for honey bear as they are a pet-friendly hotel. They made it incredibly easy for us to bring her along, and we so enjoyed having her on this trip with us.

The best part of the room was the floor to ceiling windows that had second-to-none view of the Gateway Arch and downtown St. Louis. The daytime view was beautiful, but the night view was spectacular. We found ourselves on many occasions sitting back on the chaise chair cuddling up with little Honey Bear and enjoying the city lights and the lit up Arch.

Dining

The Cinder House is a five star dining experience on the 8th floor of the hotel where guests can enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or drinks late into the evening. We were able to enjoy meals there for brunch, breakfast, while we were at the Cabana, as well as late-night snacks while enjoying the view from their Sky Terrace area. The food was amazing and eloquent, with good portion sizes, and many options including Gluten Free for Stefanie. The Sunday brunch has a wide variety of meal options for anything that you would want. Pastries, bacon, eggs, omelets, desserts, fruit, and anything else you could ever want was included in the price. This was our favorite meal, and we loved being able to try a little bit of everything.

Pool/Cabana

Quite possibly our favorite part of the trip was our experience at the pool in our very own private Cabana. There are eight different cabana’s pool side on their eighth floor rooftop pool area. We had the corner spot with views of the pool and Gateway Arch. Each Cabana comes with complimentary Coconut Water, select drinks, and nuts for your enjoyment. There are several waiters that come around to check on you while you are catching some sun. Stefanie loves to take a dip in the pool occasionally and she was allowed to take whatever drink she had into the pool as well as swim around and then come back and lounge in one of the chairs we had reserved. We got to enjoy many drinks while in our cabana including smoothies, iced mochas, soft drinks, and we even ordered a burger and a salad which were incredibly tasty!

This was the first time we really got to relax and enjoy ourselves in quite some time, and we found that day to be very rejuvenating.

Spa

The Spa, located on the 7th floor is top notch. They have mens and women’s locker rooms which include lockers, showers, sinks, a steam room, sauna, and a bath for people to relax and take in before their spa appointments. In the joint room, there are many lounge chairs for people to sit back and relax and take in breathtaking views of the Mississippi River and the Gateway Arch. There is a Hot tub as well as coffee, tea, and small snacks to enjoy. This spa is full-service and really provides a relaxing experience whether you are there to sit back and enjoy the spa, or to get a massage, manicure, or pedicure. Their spa is one of the highlights of the property and is often booked out on the weekends because of their excellent services.

Sky Terrace

This was where we spent the most time at the hotel. Right out the doors on the 8th floor of the hotel is their signature Sky Terrace where you can visit the Pool (accessible from 7th floor), grab a drink at their Sky Bar, or grab a bite to eat outside at the Cinder House. There are views of the Arch, the Mississippi River, and the downtown skyline in the distance, providing a scenic view of the windy city. We especially loved to sit on their outdoor couches and take in the beauty of the city lights. You could see the lit up Gateway Arch which provided the perfect backdrop to the Terrace, and we would talk about our dreams and how we fell more in love throughout this trip. Honey Bear was a hit on the Terrace with many people stopping by to say hi and staff members being so friendly as well. The Sky Terrace has everything that you would need, including a wedding venue, and was definitely a highlight of the trip!

Signature Light Box

This was one of the signature parts of the physical property. Surrounding the sides and top of the building is a huge video screen which lights up the night sky. It is not distracting by any means, only adding to the vibrant experience that we got while staying at the hotel. What we liked most about it was the city-wide spirit for cheering on the sports teams, which included a huge banner going across the screens that read, “Lets Go Blues!” This added a home-town vibe that added to the character of this great city and hotel.

Overall Experience

We LOVED our experience at the Four Seasons Hotel and Spa. We really enjoyed our 16th floor room as well as chilling out at night on their 8th floor Sky Terrace while sipping on our favorite drinks and wine, and taking in the beautiful sites and sounds of the city. We both said on many occasions that we fell more in love on this trip, and we know that the Four Seasons and their amazing hospitality played a huge part in making that happen for us. This is our TOP recommendation for places to stay in the Windy City.
